Beginning Projects

So my first attempts at solo knitting scarves and hats mainly consisted of me testing my stitches; knits, purls, etc. The end result was much better than I had anticipated and the items are now going to be Christmas presents for my loving family.


The two scarves, however, taught me that I was doing the bind off completely wrong, so that has been fixed. The hat came out very nicely, though I really dislike knitting with only one strand of that type of yarn. I won't worry about posting patterns or anything since it's just your basic knit and purl stitches. Since finishing these three items, I have made four -- wait, no, six more hats (failed to take pictures of them unfortunately, they came out really well) and I've gotten a commission from Mom to knit two scarves. I'll post pictures and patterns of those two when I'm done with them both, I'm very pleased with the results of my endeavors thus far.
